The doctors and staff at the animal clinic recognize that your pets play a greater role in your lives than just being an animal.  Your pet is truly a member of the family. At Pet Med Clinic, Dr. Rick and Dr. Buckner often address you, the client, as “mom” or “dad” in reference to your pets.

F.J. (Rick) Diedrich III, DVM
Dr. Rick Diedrich grew up in central Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1982. He moved to northeast Ohio in 1983.  He and Wife Linda have run the Pet Med Clinic since 1990 and moved into the new building (4000sq.ft.) in November 1996. Dr. Rick has a special interest in skin/ear problems and intestinal disorders. He has attended advanced courses in these areas as well as other areas of medicine. In addition, he is planning on attending courses on pain management with the use of acupuncture and video scoping procedures of different parts of the body. Dr. Rick provides the hospital with the ability to do a wide variety of surgeries including broken bones, intestinal, and skin/ear/eye problems. Dr. Rick also likes medicine involving small mammals i.e., ferrets, rabbits, and reptiles.

D.S. Buckner, DVM
Dr. Debra Buckner joined the staff at Pet Med Clinic in January 2001. Dr. Buckner is a 1997 graduate of Purdue University. She received her B.S. in biology from Allegheny College. She and Husband Steven moved to Lorain in October 1999 to start a new church.

Our Facility
Our clinic facility is 4200 sq. ft. in size and is currently undergoing renovation in celebration of our 15th year anniversary at the Lorain, Ohio location. The facility includes a large reception area with a play space for kids, a pet products showroom, 3 exam rooms, surgical facilities with state-of-the-art equipment, and air conditioned boarding accommodations with runs.
